Greer Adams Fine Art has curated a number of landmark selling exhibitions representing some of the great artists of the Western Australian Indigenous art canon including Janangoo Butcher Cherel (c.1920-2009), Pijaju Peter Skipper (c.1929-2007) and Jarinyanu David Downs (c.1925-1995).
Many of the works in these exhibitions showcase the earliest known examples to be painted by the artists and are therefore, historically significant bodies of work. Important academic essays are included in each publication by friend and specialist in the work from the Fitzroy Crossing region, Dr Karen Dayman.
While most paintings here were acquired by Australian institutions and private and corporate collections nationally and internationally, please do not hesitate to contact us should you wish to enquire about the work.
